Arts & Crafts Class

Service Description

Our Arts&Craft classes are 90 min long. During the first 15 min students have an opportunity to meet their potential friends, explore the room and adjust to new environment.  60 min of an actual class will be divided for work/break sections. Our students can take a break when feel overwhelmed and return to the work when they feel comfortable to do so. Student refuses to sit at the table? Not a big deal: craft project can be done on the floor too. At Watermelon - anything is possible.  Last 15 min all students participate in a clean up routine.  This schedule helps all our students with diverse abilities to work within their pace and learn new skills with no pressure.   In addition, all our classes focus on verbal and nonverbal communication.  Targeted goals:    -  Request using: Picture Exchange, Touch Chat    -  Following instructions    -  Sign Language    -  Sentence Building ​

Cancelation Policy

Watermelon Sessions main goal is to create positive experience for our students. Whether it’s a class, playdate or outing – we want to see the best outcome and happiness. We understand the unpredictable nature of our students and we are here to accommodate all the needs. However, since our groups are “hand picked” and we do our best to invite students with the same interests and needs, we have to put a lot of care and effort into our scheduling. If you need to cancel, please give us a 48h notice. Between 24 and 48 hours notice you will be charged at a 50% rate. Less than 24 hours notice or no attendance at all, you will be charged the full amount. Verbal or written notice that your child will be attending the class is considered to be an official reservation. Last minute “drop in” is available if we are notified 2 h prior. We appreciate your understanding and compliance.
