Our Programs

Our programs are thoughtfully hand‑picked and curated to match each student’s unique strengths, interests, and communication style. We take great care in creating groups where every child is paired with peers who help them feel safe, confident, and inspired. By intentionally designing each cohort, we ensure that every student can participate meaningfully, build authentic connections, and truly thrive within a supportive community.

Life Skills Cooking Program

Our 8‑week Life Skills Cooking Program invites students ages 10 and up to explore the full journey of meal preparation — from choosing recipes and budgeting for groceries, to cooking and sharing meals together. Guided by supportive staff, participants begin with structured teamwork and gradually move toward independent practice, building essential skills in planning, shopping, safety, and self‑advocacy. By the end of the program, students not only gain practical cooking experience but also celebrate their growth in independence, creativity, and community connection.

Emotions Through Art

Emotions Through Art is a small, supportive social group for students ages 6–9 who are learning to understand, name, and express their emotions. Through playful, sensory‑friendly art activities, children explore feelings in ways that feel safe, creative, and accessible. Our facilitators under Speech Therapist's supervision, gently guide students in building emotional awareness, practicing communication, and connecting with peers—all while having fun and expressing themselves through art.

Social Hangouts

Social Hangouts is a playful, relationship‑centered group grounded in the DIR® Floortime Model, where authentic friendships have room to grow. In this program, students connect through shared interests, imaginative play, and meaningful back‑and‑forth interactions—all supported by facilitators who gently scaffold communication, regulation, and social confidence. By creating a space that honours each child’s individuality while nurturing joyful connection, Social Hangouts helps real friendships take root and flourish.

Every Body Plays

Many children are eager to join playground games with their peers, but not fully understanding the rules of simple games can make it tough to jump in. Every Body Plays was created to gently teach those foundational game rules at each child’s own pace, building confidence and making shared play feel easier and more joyful. By breaking games down into clear, accessible steps, we help open the door to smoother peer interactions, more successful participation, and friendships that grow naturally through play.

Students explore simple, engaging baking projects that invite connection—choosing ingredients, taking turns, sharing tools, and celebrating what they’ve made together. Communication is welcomed in all forms, including AAC, gestures, visuals, and co‑regulated interactions with trusted adults.

Independent Transit Skills

Our Independent Transit Skills Program supports youth in building the confidence, communication skills, and real‑world strategies they need to navigate public transit safely and successfully. Through hands‑on practice, visual supports, and gentle, collaborative coaching, participants learn how to plan routes, read schedules, make decisions, and advocate for themselves—all at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering.

Seeing Your Child Through Connection and Play

Diverse Playgroup

Seeing Your Child Through Connection & Play is a gentle, relationship‑centred parent support program that helps you understand your child’s emotional world, communication, and unique developmental profile. Through six individualized sessions, you’ll learn to slow down, observe your child’s cues, and respond with confidence and compassion. Instead of focusing on behaviours, this program helps you see the meaning beneath them—your child’s sensory experiences, feelings, and needs—so connection becomes easier and everyday moments become opportunities for growth, regulation, and shared joy. The goal is not to change who your child is, but to deepen your understanding of them and strengthen the relationship that supports their development.

Supported Play Group

Supported Play Group offers a warm, connection‑focused space where little ones can explore, socialize, and participate at their own pace with attuned facilitator support. It’s a gently structured environment designed for co‑regulation and curiosity, where facilitators notice children’s cues, follow their interests, and create openings for authentic communication. Whether a child wants to observe from the edge, dive into sensory play, or connect through shared activities, the group meets them exactly where they are — making room for confidence, comfort, and joyful early social experiences.

Tiny Hands Studio

Children Crafting Leaves

Tiny Hands Studio is perfect for children building early pre‑writing and fine‑motor foundations, with playful, confidence‑building activities that gently support preschool readiness. Each session offers hands‑on opportunities to strengthen little muscles and early motor patterns through art, sensory exploration, and simple tool use — all presented in a way that feels fun, not forced. Facilitators model and scaffold skills in an attuned, low‑pressure way, helping children practice grasp, coordination, and early mark‑making while following their interests. It’s a space where emerging independence is celebrated, creativity leads the way, and foundational skills grow naturally through joyful doing.
